Airport Closing

I got to 1998 and every single airport just closed and left me stuck.

is this a bug?

What airline were you playing with?
Did you chose major airports only or every airport size?

You might think that the game would end 200 years earlier. When the airport closes 2199 (normally), the closing message comes 2198. 
In the case of the bug it is 1998 (2198) and 1999 (2199)? That would also explain why "Airbus" 1999 (2199) ceases the production of the A350, even if it has not been introduced yet.

Tomcatter, have you been able to recreate this?
I've started a game in 1997, but in 1999 I still have all airports. Playing with only the large airports.

I started a game on the first bug report in 1960 and the game ran without problems until 2005. But I can try again with the newest version.

it was when 98 turned 99 on jan 1st.  i was playing a custom airline. its happened twice now so i have just started playing from 2000 onwards.
