If I remember correctly. using the 'new scheduling system' you could schedule different routes to the same aircraft.
While it's not possible to schedule 2 routes at the same time for the same aircraft (like it's supposed to be), it was possible to start the next route while the aircraft was still in the turntime phase of the previous route.

I'm sorry if it was another issue.
