Hi guys!
So today I figured out why the competition was on a constant loss with it's airlines.
It's important to set the green line for the airliners from when till when the AI should buy them.
This way they will be competitive against you.
Just tested it with Ryanair, Transavia.com and Alitalia.
Now they are not in loss anymore, they get profit from their routes.
Ok, nevermind! After further testing I figured out where the problem lies.
The AI's become unpredictable completely once you start the game. They just randomly start to buy huge amount of airliners for no reason, and it breaks them completely. Even if I set the preferedaircrafts, or set up the aircraft schedule, the AI's simply continue to buy Cessna's and other small to medium distance airliners, using up all of their money and going insta-bankrupt, stopping their lines and closing their doors.
I may have a solution, obviously it's a bit radical, but it would fix this issue.
As always, it's a simple comand to add to the .xml, which should be allowrandombuy="true/false".
This would limit the AI to buy random airliners and force it to use the allready existing ones to be used.
I think the solution lies here, this way we could preset the AI to use the predefined aircrafts, buy or lease them, and force it to use them, leaving the choices to the AI to create new routes by it's own will and also make profit without running dry or into heavy losses.
As always, this is just an idea, so I will wait for Tjoeker and Pjank42 what they say.
