Well, if you really have to there is a more complicated way of doing it.
you go to the datafolder and open data.sqlite using a program that can read the file. I use 'DB Browser for sqlite'
Then you go to 'browse data' > 'savefile' and delete the records for the saves you want to delete.
In the data/saves you remove the corresponding files. (1 per save)
But your right that we should look at it. I'll make it a priority.
