The main features like passenger/route calculation, a lot of planes, airports and real airlines are already there, but some basic features like AI that actually makes sense, aren’t there. This makes the game barely playable, but be patient, once those are added, we’re in for a treat!
Still beats online crap with stupid airline names and lack of balance. Airlinesim.aero had a stupid airline named AirCheese as its long-time behemoth.
Oh, yes, Air Cheese was atrocious. I don't think that any online sim can provide a realistic experience, players always like to do something silly, and demand is always off, for some reason. Not to mention that these worlds are usually dominated by several airlines owned by old players, who started as soon as the new server was there.
TAP doesn't really need that much to be great. If AI was alright, I would call this the best airline sim in a pinch. It has all the main things already - real airlines, real planes, real airports that are mostly correct for their era, all it needs is to make your competitors truly "think" and act properly. Everything more will make it better, I really want to see some more events, regulations changing etc. but with decent AI this will already be so much better than any other game on the market
