Oh, and thanks for all the replies. I don't know the creator's vision on community involvement (also using editable XML files for data does point towards quite some openness), but it's great to see there's quite a few people out there willing to get involved.

I must agree with you that it's not the best wiki there is, but there are not a lot of free options. An option would be to host a wiki ourself. Then you could install beter wiki software. But that of course would require a server.
