After not playing an actual V2 I tried Patch 11.4 and am a little bit grumpy: after hours spending on hiring airport slots, route planning, leasing airliners, buying facilities etc I wanted to check, if I need to assign pilots to special routes (on start clicked on play until March 24, when I couls start the first routes from my used main base on TXL). When I have clicked on a pilot in HOME - EMPLOYEE menu the game crashed... If you tell me where I will find the crashlog I can post it here.
And I found some parts from the old version (e.g. 0.3.9 to 0.50) missing or not working in the actual V2. I don`t know if they are not working or not have been implemented yet (in random order): 1) Choose Homebase on start for existing Airline 2) Miami Seaplane Base has Canadian flag and State FL missing 3) "Page Back" Option when in e.g. Airport -> Facilities menu go back to Airport menu with this button 4) If once clicked music off remember for next start 5) Extremely long loading times on loading all airlines on game start, on Airport menu on the way to buy facilities (couldn't play until only one route was started) 6) On starting a new game it should be possible to get "scheduled slots" from day 1 on larger airports or from the date on being received 7 ) Change settings like language, currency etc on game start 8) On calendar: Button "GoTo" a special date and simulate the time between more rapidly might be added 9) Automatic movement from closing airport to its replacement including actualization in route menu 10) Why do I need 2 slots per flight, competitors only 1? 11) "Flight School" on Employee menu not working, menu can't be opened 12) Airline cooperations e.g. "OneWorld" etc not implemented yet or where can I sign or step out? 13) Possibility to chosse "Playing includig existing subsidiaries" on game start 14) Building hubs on any airport nowhere to find 15) Add +10 Minutes to start & landing times as "reachng air corridor" to make flight times on shorter routes more realistic (same problem as in e.g. 0.3.9.4, some flights way too short) and turnover times different and less for smaller and more for larger aircraft 16) On Home Menu: buy flight simulators for special aircraft types e.g. on Servic under-menu (as in V 0.5.0) 17) On Home Menu: under-menu FLEET: show if aircraft are owned or leased 18) Keep original Reg._no. for leased aircraft and have the possibility to reserve special Reg.-Nos. on ordering new airliners 19) On Home Menu: under-menu EMPLOYEES: show total number of hired pilots, show how much of them are not assignded and how much are close to retirement 20) On Employee menu: implementation of "Home market" for pilots would be nice. I started with Air Berlin, not-changeable homebase is Dusseldorf and planned all my routes from Berlin-TXL and it felt like ages until I was ready on planning only 40 routes... 38) I hope I don't have to demand slots for every new season. ANd a flight plan should be used for whole year. Perhaps an additional button if summer or winter season diescrepancy by the player is wanted 39) On Route planning: on choosing destination airport: sort airport by cities name and add IATA-code to be easier to identify and show all airports with planned routes in different color (light green eg) 40) Is there really cabin crew added for all aircraft and will they be shown anywhere? And will their salary will be displayed on finance menu? 41) Will the finance menu be extended so that it will be possible to see income/ expenses eg one year by every month? Quite a lot of stuff and questions, I would be happy if you can give some information to all the points although it might take some time to do so. I like the option of choosing different menu colors. Looks nice And I love the new way the maps are implemented, so that I can see even some roads names. Absolutely gorgeous!!! But never forget: the most important thing is to have a stabile game with less bugs as possible, that should be the main concern. Every new implementation only after all bugs are sorted out. Ready for now.

Something I have noticed:
While scheduling an airliner, I can assign it to a route longer than its designed range without any warning. I wonder if it is possible to fix this. Also, I wonder if it is possible only display the routes fit the airliner's type and the airliner's range while assigning them.

Because I coudn’t start a new game yesterday I had nothing better to do than having a look into the Airports database.

And it seems, that a count of Cities are not the "City being served". I haven't listed these here, bad I-Net connection for a few days, couldn't check them online and in the moment I do not really have time for such major research that I had a few years ago to build up the DB. I have noticed, that Country SABA & country ST. EUSTATIUS (1 Airport countries) have only domestic airports. Will it be possible to fly there from other countries in the Caribbean?

But we can't guarantee to catch all bugs, so there might still be some like the one you reported :-)

Ignore if previously posted, I found delete flight (trash can symbol) in flight scheduling does not work. Right now I have to go to Routes > Airliners, right click on the flight to delete it.
Also, sometimes I can schedule a flight to depart twice with the same plane at the exact same time, and get 8 weekly flights when I create daily flight. These are all from patch 4. Could you please take a look at it? Thank you so much! |
