Hi! So I bought 3 a380-800 planes but when i tried to assigned a route for one of the planes to test it out, i would lose 3million or more every month cuz it was not really profitable. So i tried to assign it on a new and much longer route but still i would lose millions. Is there a way to make an a380 profitable? Btw i already tried like assigning it to every one of my 60 routes, i tried advertising it, and tried to change the seating configurations but still i would lose money. Thanks in advance

Hello Itsemmane,
Which routes do you fly? FRA-JFK for example works fine and the surplus was by nearly 40.000. The load factor was about 65%. I tested it few minutes ago with standard ticket Price. A380-800 : Economy 398 seats, Business 137 seats, First class 23 seats. (Standard configuration) Regards Tomcatter

I fly from Philippines (Manila International Airport) to Los Angeles (LAX) i also tried Dubai to Toronto on standard ticket price amd standard setting configuration. I still lose money. I'll try the route u tested.

Manila to Los Angeles and Toronto to Dubai does not have the demand for the A380-800.
Manila (MNL) to London Heathrow (LHR) or Manila to Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) have higher demand. Look at the demand from Manila to other airports. Where the demand for tourists is extremly high, the A380-800 is profitable.

I assigned the a380 to every route i have to see if it's profitable. May i ask how many flights per week if i assigned route from manila to LHR? My current a380 is only 3 flights a week to london with just 33% fillinf capacity.
I tried :
Monday : Manila - London Tuesday : Return to Manila Wednesday : Manila - Paris Thursday : Return to Manila Friday : Manila - Barcelona Saturday : Return to Manila Sunday : no flight Something like that, but Manila is to small for the A380 and I changed it against one A350-1000. Works much better. LHR to JFK works fine with the A380 with daily flights in both directions. Loadfactor about 80%
