I may be wrong, but didn't you make a small mistake in your first post?
Wouldn't a plane use 0.024 liters/km per passenger? (in the max passenger configuration)
It seems like you know a lot about the subject.
Doesn't an airline have to pay for the slot is uses at the gate?
What difference does it make in price if an airline uses a jet bridge or not?
The prices you came up with, do you have a source or is it inside information?
Hi tjoeker.
The fuel usage is calculated on the basic tonnelage of the airplane.
If an A320 is empty, it uses 0.024L/km of Kerozine to fly.
If the aircraft is fully loaded, it means that the fuel usage is around 50%+ more, that's true.
The Gate charges are variable. The first 15 minutes are Free, after that every minute for the first two hours cost from £0.0151 up to £0.0378 depending on the Stand Type (Far from the entrance, mid range and Close/Connected to the terminal).
Theese charges can go up to £0.0756/Tonne over 24 hours.
Regarding the prices at Luton, you can find it Here!
Ah, one more thing:
- Security Surcharge (For Every Pax: £1)!
The Ground handling is an another problem, there is no documentation about it, as it's being calculated personally.
I don't know too much about theese things, I'm just an airline enthusiastic.
Have a nice day!
