Flight Schedule Overlap Bug

Do you remember how you scheduled the flight?
Did you use the scheduler in the routes overview or the airliner scheduler? Or a combination (what scheduler for what flight) And what flight was scheduled first?

Hmm, weird. I can't reproduce the bug.
Were they all scheduled for the same season deadline? Were they scheduled to the correct airliner? Just trying to imagine what could have gone wrong... Ps.: thanks for thinking of a name for the scheduler: automatic scheduler and manual scheduler. I like it. (01-02-2018, 03:33 PM)Tjoeker Wrote: Hmm, weird. I can't reproduce the bug. Yes, I have scheduled right after the airports confirmed the possibility to schedule. I was picking the airliners which shown up in the auto sxheduler (the one in the routes tab).

After further investigation it seems to be a problem with the main proposed aircraft in the Routes Flight Scheduler menu.
By the way, I don't know if it's intentional, but the game constantly resets to the first airplane on the list whatever input I make on the fast schedule window. Is it possible to check it out?

I still can't reproduce the bug.
Can you explain what you think went wrong with the proposed aircraft? And the resetting of the aircraft selection menu is indeed kinda annoying, now that you say so. I think I found a few other things to improve on that scheduler for the next major release.

I was able to recreate the same exact thing once more today, so I don't know where the problem might be, but maybe the Automatic Flight Scheduler (the one with the aircraft sign in the Routes menu) is unstable and thinks that there is no route on the airliner that time, so it creates an overlap. I don't know if it effects the incomes or it doesn't, but it's bad to see it going on and on. Hopefully you will find the root of the error. Have a nice day.

Ok, I was able to recreate the bug now. pfew ^^
I'll do some further testing tomorrow. At this point I found two possible causes: -Either the first flight was created and scheduled. After that, the second flight was created and scheduled. -Or you can somehow slightly overlap flights if one airport has coordinated slots while the other doesn't. I did find out the earliest the second flight can depart is 2 hours after the first leg of flight 2 has arrived, no matter how long the first flight is. While testing this I also found another bug: if I don't schedule a return flight for the first flight, I can schedule a second flight from the original airport 1h48m after arrival of the first leg, even though the aircraft can never get back in time for that second flight.

As promised, I did some further testing. And it's aching my mind..
The above assumptions were both wrong. It happens on all flights. The game tells the scheduler it can't use a certain airliner until a specific time. But the time given is wrong. The time it returns to the scheduler seems to be random (however always the same time after departure of route 1 on the same route). Perhaps Pjank sees where the bug comes from. |
