Hello,

Started BEA based in London in 1960.  Came with 2 slots.  Scheduled LHR-ORD and LHR-PHL, both departing at 10:00am.  Now those 2 slots are used up so I apply for more slots.  Slots are reserved, but I can't use them.  Apply for slots in PHL or ORD and the slots are rented and immediately available.  What's the problem in LHR?

LHR (like most european airports) is slot constrained which means you will have to apply for a slot and await approval.
To use a slot at a coordinated (thus slot constrained) airport, you have to apply before the season deadline.

You can schedule ahead for the next season though.
