As I wrote on the latest blog I am ready for the release of the first prealpha for TAPv2.


When you try it out please be aware that it is not a finished game and I know that we are still missing a lot of things both GUI and performance. One example could be that it is not possible to order slots for the major airports, which means you should test routes with minor airports.


If you find a bug/improvement please just let me know and I will take a look at it.

When you report a crash please describe the scenario where the game crashed. Like: I was on page x and clicked on y

But please go ahead and try it out.

I was think that it would be nice to setup a research & development team if you can afford it, so that way you can unlock certain technologies faster. For example different kinds of seats, meals, but also advertising methods etc.

But you can also extend it to other aspects of the game like researching turnarounds so you can make them shorter. Then your airline gets a bonus on the turnaround time. Example: turnaround time normal is 60 minutes but with the bonus 50 minutes. If you want the maximum flights between two destinations this could have a great impact.

I used to play TAP 0.46.  It is over 1 year since I have played.  I recently downloaded the 0.50 version.  I have started a game in Easy mode.  I cannot find the old schedule that allowed me to set the routes for each airliner, tweak the layover times, etc. and change flight numbers.  Have these features been removed from the game?

Edit: OK, I found it ... sorry ... Routes / Assign Airliners and Flight Restrictions / choose the aircraft and edit the schedule.

Since there are so many spammer bots, it would be an Idea to use reCAPTHA instead of CAPTHA. It is the newer version of stopping bots. It should be easy to install.

I have a difficult question. Can anybody of you guys tell me how buggy the old version of the game is? Is it possible to play a save for a longer time? For example if the game crashes, is it possible to reload and then just play on or will it always crash at the same moment? 

p.s. I know its an annoying question: but is there maybe a date when the new version of the game will be released?

I think it would be go if you could change the cabin class to stop buy a new airline
For e.g like have just business for the winter but change it to just economy in summer then Change it back  to business which you can't do

Can add demand for Coventry airport as when I try to add Coventry airport and the demand the game don't load Coventry or Birmingham airport as In 2008 there were flight to spain

Hello everyone,

It's been several months since I last played so I started a new game recently. I save the game and everything is well. I load the saved game and everything is peachy. When I run the saved game new gates appear every game day, same airports, same number of gates. Also the number of passenger terminals have doubled at these airports. Any one else experience anything similar?

Hi, I was playing The Airline Project about a year ago and I'm a big fan of this type of Airline simulator......and of The Airline Project.
I temporarily left mostly because there were some problems with the game that were frustrating.

But now I see the code is being rewritten and it looks like we are going to see the tremendous potential of this Airline simulator realised !
So, I am excited about this game all over again and will be contributing towards it in the near future.
How do we donate money ?

Anyways.......I'm glad to be back.

In the previous iteration of the game, charters were (sort of) implemented into the game. Since charters are commonplace for most airlines, i'm interested to see how this will be added to the new iteration, particularly for different types of charters. (i.e. Adhoc vs scheduled). Maybe having the option to click and drag into the fleet pool to fill a viable empty slot would be best. In regards to scheduled charters, at least for the charters in Australia, the passenger flows are primarily on tuesday, thursday and saturday so maybe this can be added in as well to require a fleet adjustment to suit the agreed upon capacity?

A/N/ are maintenance times going to be added into the fleet pool page?
